European Cycling Challenge 2016: Webinar session on 11 February

The city of Bologna are holding an information session webinar for all those interested in joining the European Cycling Challenge 2016. The webinar takes place on Thursday, 11 February 2016 from 3:00pm till 4:00pm CET. Please email FBoschetti@polisnetwork.eu  if you are interested in participating.

Register your City, invite your citizens to join the challenge
and collect cycling data to make your city more liveable.
The City of Bologna is pleased to invite you to take part in the next edition of the European Cycling Challenge, which will take place in the month of May 2016.
What is the European Cycling Challenge?
The European Cycling Challenge is the biggest urban cyclists’ team competition which takes place every year May, 1-31. It is open to all people commuting by bicycle in participating cities.
The ECC2016 is a successful follow up of the CIVITAS Mimosa European Project. 63 European cities from 20 different countries joined the past editions of the Challenge, with more than 47,000 cyclists involved and more than 4 Million km cycled so far.

Participation in the Challenge requires signing an agreement and making a payment of 1,000.00 € as participation fee which covers the technical costs of managing the web and mobile platforms which are used to track routes and display results.
In the 2016 edition, GPS data will be provided for free to Polis members!
For non members the supply of GPS data is optional, and if required it foresees an additional fee of 1,000.00 €. The use of the Cycling365 app is absolutely free for participants.

The deadline to subscribe is 29th February 2016.
